Background
Twenty orcs draw crude but brutal war-bows, barb-tipped arrows ready to bite into flesh. These are no fine marksmen, they trust to the cloud, to the weight of twenty strings loosing as one beneath a battle-pole heavy with trophies. They grunt and spit as they take aim, eager to see the enemy drop before the lines ever meet. Each volley hums like a swarm of iron wasps. You need no aim when the whole sky turns to arrows.
